Animals
Throughout September & October we will be focusing on Fall and Animals in Science. Last week the students worked in pairs where they had to pick an animal and write everything they knew about that animal. This week we will be comparing all of the animals to come up with a list of similarities and differences.

Fun Friday
On Friday September 16th we had math/literacy centers!
Center 1: Smartboard Math Games

Elements of Art
In art, we are learning about the elements. Last week we focused on primary/secondary colours and this week we are focusing in on different types of lines.
Math Centers
In math, we are learning about Numbers to 100. On September 9th we had math centers!
Center 1: Math Puzzles & putting together a 100 chart.
Center 2: Number sense colouring.
Center 3: Using a 100 chart to see what comes before/after.

Throughout the past few weeks we have read:

Throughout this mini unit we have been focusing on colour words, All About Me, & Feelings.
After reading these stories we discussed how we each have unique qualities that bring us together as a class. We explored the theme of our identity and diversity. We also explored data analysis through graphing our favorite colours. On September 9th each student brought an All About Me Bag and shared their favourite things with the class.
