Welcome to the pumpkin patch:

We did a mini pumpkin unit the week of Halloween!  The students learned all about pumpkin adjectives, pumpkin opposites, how pumpkins grow & we were even lucky enough to carve our own pumpkins! Thank you to all the families who donated pumpkins to our class!

Pumpkin booklets:How to carve a pumpkin & pumpkin poems.

Pumpkin Expressions!

Before gutting the pumpkins we weighed them & measured the height/circumference.
Students also estimated how many seeds would be in their pumpkin.
Most students voted that the biggest pumpkin would have the most amount of seeds...and the smallest pumpkin would have the least amount of seeds.

Let the gutting begin! Some students didn't like the texture of the pumpkin guts! :).

Time to start carving!
