Primary Colours

Today in art the Kindergartens learned all about secondary colours. They learned that blue & yellow makes green, yellow & red makes orange, and blue & red make purple!

While the Kindergartens were learning about secondary colours, the 1/2's were learning about warm/cool colours. Some students used warm coloured pastels for their drawing while others used cool coloured pastels. I will post the finished product in a few days!

Show & Tell

Today, two students brought their pets for show and tell!

The first student's dog just had puppies! They are 3 week old pit bulls. The kids loved them...and wanted to keep one as a class pet (unfortunatley we can't have a puppy as a class pet). The puppies are all sold and will be going to their homes when they are 8 weeks old.

The second student brought his pet salamander. The salamanders name is Oscar. He has had Oscar for two months! Oscar loves to be held and his favourite food is worms.

Primary Colours

In art we are learning about colours! Our first focus is the 3 primary colours...red, yellow, & blue. Today the students painted a picture using the primary colours...and some of the kindergartens noticed that mixing primary colours creates secondary colours. It was lots of fun!
