Terry Fox Walk
On Friday, we learned all about Terry Fox. In the afternoon, the entire school gathered and went on a Terry Fox Walk.
Mini Colour Unit
Throughout the past few weeks we have read:
1. The Crayon Box That Talked
2. The Day The Crayons Quit
3. The Day The Crayons Came Home
Throughout this mini unit we have been focusing on colour words, primary/secondary colours, All About Me, & Feelings.
After reading these stories we discussed how we each have unique qualities that bring us together as a class. We explored the theme of our identity and diversity. We also explored data analysis through graphing our favorite colours. Throughout the month of September each student brought an All About Me Bag and shared their favorite things with the class.

Happy Earth Day!
We celebrated Earth Day on April 18th by completing a variety of activities. We went on a nature walk/scavenger hunt and learned about the reducing, reusing and recycling. We also made worms in dirt where we learned how to sequence steps and about the changes that occur when we mix different types of matter together. We also spent the day saving power in our classroom by using flashlights and natural light!
