This year we are using Seesaw to share and communicate with families! Your child will post to Seesaw to share their learning. I'll also use Seesaw to send you messages and reminders. Seesaw is private; you'll only see posts created by your child.

After you sign up, download the free Seesaw Family app and sign in. You can also access Seesaw from a computer at https://app.seesaw.me.
Seesaw and classroom blogs are beneficial for a variety of reasons:
1. Parent communication--Parents are able to see what their child
is doing in school. Parents are also able to comment on their child's posts.
This motivates students to work harder and put effort into their projects.
2. Builds confidence--Students post work they are proud of.
3. Cross curricular--Students will not only be creating their own portfolio, they will also be reading and writing comments on their friends' accounts. Seesaw & Blogging allows students to have exposure to modern day technology.
4. Assessment--Since students will be posting weekly, I will be
able to see how their skills progress throughout the year.
5. Choice--Students are in charge of what they post which leads to
instant engagement and enables them to think deeper.
