Spring birds
We created spring birds in Art class. After, we learned about acrostic poems. We created an acrostic poem about Spring!
Geometry
We have been learning about 2-D and 3-D shapes in math. Last week we created 2-D shapes using geoboard's, and we created 3-D shapes using sticks and Play-Doh.

Geometry
This week we started our Geometry unit. Throughout this unit we will be learning about 2D (plane shapes) & 3D shapes. This week we discussed the attributes of 2D and 3D shapes and determined what 3D shapes would be best for building.
Pen Pals
On Tuesday, we received letters from our pen pals from Westberry School in Kindersley, SK. We started writing our rough copies and next week we will edit and publish our letters during Writer's Workshop.

Easter Fun!
On March 23rd we had a fun filled Easter day!
In the morning we rotated through three centers with our big buddies.
At center 1 we measured Easter pictures with jelly beans.
At center 2 we sorted jelly beans by colour and used ten frames to count.
At center 3 we dyed Easter eggs!
In the afternoon we did Easter Math centers. We also enjoyed treats and watched The Berenstain Bears Easter Surprise.
