Our first classic Fairy Tale that we read was Goldilocks and The Three Bears. After we finished reading we completed a story map.
Then our critter, "Purpose Pig," helped us figure out what the authors purpose was. The students decided that the authors purpose was to entertain readers.
After that the students created an "official police report" for Goldilocks.
We then read a fractured version of the story called, "Goldilocks Has Chicken Pox." Our critter "C.C Cow," helped us compare and contrast the two stories.
