We had a fun Easter filled day before the break!
First we made Easter Bunny applications.
Then we had Easter themed math centers.
At the first station the students had to group their jelly beans by color, then use ten frames to record their data.
At the second station the students had to measure each Easter picture with jelly beans! They then compared which picture was the tallest and which one was the shortest.
At the third station the students had to shake their eggs and estimate how many jelly beans were inside. They then counted the jelly beans to see if their estimate was correct.
Of course after we were done we ate all the jelly beans!
In the after noon three stations were set up and the students decorated & dyed Easter eggs.
At the first station the students used food coloring to dye their eggs.
At the second station we used glue and glitter. (Yes it was as messy as it looked!)
At the third station we used shaving cream and food coloring to create a marbled look!
End results!
We then made Easter bags for our Easter egg hunt!
We ended the day with an Easter egg scavenger hunt!
Some eggs were filled with sight words and some were filled with chocolate/candy.
