For the past week the students have been learning about Reindeer!
First we read `Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer,` then Elements Elephant from our Critter Cafe helped us brainstorm the problem/solution, the characters, and the setting of the story. After we labeled the parts of a reindeer!
The next day, we brainstormed what we would do if we had a pet reindeer. The kids came up with some great ideas! While the grade 1/2's worked on their writing the kindergartens did a reindeer craft!
Then the students worked in groups and brainstormed what reindeer are, what reindeer can do and what reindeer have.
After, the students applied to be one of Santa's reindeer!
During center time the Kindergartens worked on another reindeer craft!
To end our mini unit we watched "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer," and C.C Cow from our Critter Cafe helped us compare the movie to the story!
