Last week, we completed our Reindeer Unit.
We finished
learning reindeer facts.
By using a non-fiction text, we found what reindeer can do, what they are and what they have.
We used a Venn Diagram to compare reindeer and moose.
We used data analysis to figure out who in our class has seen a reindeer. We found out that 8 of us have seen a reindeer and 13 of us have not.
We learned that an adjective describes a noun. We used adjectives to describe reindeer!
We reviewed the difference between a fact and opinion.
After learning about reindeer, we read the story of Rudolph. First, we used adjectives to describe Rudolph.
Then, "Elements Elephant," from our Critter Cafe helped us figure out the story elements in Rudolph.
Then, "Jabber the Reteller" and "Digger Dog" from our Critter Cafe helped us retell the story using key details.
