On Monday, we looked at our apple experiment! Our guess was correct. The apple that was washed wasn't as brown as the apple that we passed around the classroom. The apple that had "germs" on it was dark brown and moldy! This showed the students why it is important to wash our hands!
After, we watched a cold and flu video on brainpop. Then we did another experiment to show how fast germs spread. One of the students started off with germs (glitter) on their hands, then they shook hands with their partner. We went around the circle and at the end everyone ended up having germs (glitter) on their hands!
On Friday, the students created posters to show what they can do to be a germ buster! Then, they presented their poster to the class.
